Looking Cool! Celeb Parents Wearing White This Summer (Photos)Shana Aborn
Here on the East Coast, we’re sweltering through an early-summer heat wave, with temps rocketing toward 100 overnight. Fortunately, it’s not supposed to last long, but everyone’s scrambling to feel – and look – as cool as possible.
One good way to battle the sun’s rays is with light-colored clothing, particularly white, which doesn’t absorb the heat as much as darker shades do. As a bonus, white just looks clean and comfortable, whether it’s a top, pants or a full ensemble.
We found plenty of famous parents choosing to add white to their wardrobes this week. From bright whites to off-shades, short and long sleeves, dresses, bags and one, um, unique accessory, they all look fabulous.
First on our list is new mom Hilary Duff, who’s been beaming as brightly as her white shirt ever since giving birth to little Luca a few months back.
Take a look at our gallery to see who else has been looking snowy-chic!
January Jones 1 of 7Even her baby, Xander, would agree that nothing sets off a new red hair color like a simple white top and purse.
Mariska Hargitay 2 of 7At a recent movie screening, the mom of three looked extra-glam in this simple white dress.
Alessandra Ambrosio 3 of 7Looking fabulous after giving birth just a month ago (and disproving the stereotype of models eating nothing but lettuce), the Victoria's Secret beauty sports a long off-white sweater.
Sharon Stone 4 of 7The mom of three (the younger two live with her) looks stylish in her white coat as she leaves a production of the musical "Million Dollar Quartet."
Anna Faris 5 of 7It's important to stay cool during the summer when you're pregnant - and Anna does just that in this cute white romper.
Kate Middleton 6 of 7Technically, she's not a mother yet - though pregnancy rumors are humming. But we can't resist including a shot of her looking stunning (yet again) in a white dress with matching fascinator.
Alec Baldwin 7 of 7Wellll...it's not exactly what you'd call cover-boy fashion, but a white sheet is a good way to hide from the public after an embarrassing run-in with a photographer.
