Reese Witherspoon Says She's "Slowly" Getting Her Post-Baby Body BackShana Aborn
It’s as predictable as “Jingle Bells” on the mall sound system in December: Mere weeks after a celeb gives birth, she has to let the world know how close she is to slipping back into slinky red-carpet gowns.
The latest in the list is Reese Witherspoon, who toldExtraat the March of Dimes Celebrates Babies event that she didn’t lose the weight instantaneously after having her son Tennessee.
“I don’t know if I’m bouncing back. I’m slowly crawling back,” she remarked. “You have to be gentle and patient with yourself and just sort of, you know, slowly get back to your health.”
Whether it’s from late-night diapering or leftover pregnancy hormones, Reese is also finding that her brain isn’t bouncing back either!
“I couldn’t remember, the other day, what you call that thing that keeps the food cold. It was the refrigerator. I couldn’t remember the name of it!”
(Just wait until you put your keys in the freezer and can’t find them an hour later, Reese!)
I don’t know about you, but I’d say she’s crawled back pretty nicely. Maybe we can let her relax a little now and enjoy the holidays with her 2-month-old and his big brother and sister without worrying about doing a Zumba marathon every day? She says that the family is going to make gingerbread houses for Christmas. Go ahead and sample the building materials, Reese!
