Who is Sarah Streeter? Streeter the Daughter Rod Stewart Gave Up for AdoptionWendyM
Who is Sarah Streeter, and why is she making headlines? Sarah Streeter is the daughter that rocker Rod Stewart gave up for adoption when he was just a teenager.
Rod Stewart told Joy Behar in an interview that his first daughter, Sarah Streeter, was put up for adoption when he was “17 or 18.”
Sarah Streeter and Rod Stewart now have a relationship, after the death of her adoptive parents.
Stewart told Joy Behar, “Since her mom and dad have died, we’ve tried to come together and be close together, and it’s working out pretty well. I never felt like I was her dad, because I didn’t take her to school, change her nappies, there was no paternal thing there, but I’m trying.”
On Sarah Streeter’s side of things, she tells The Daily Mail, “At the moment it’s all baby steps, but whatever issues were there have all been forgotten, for both of us. It’s all water under the bridge now. It’s nerve-racking, too, but just as much so for him as it is for me.”
Streeter adds, “There’s no anger there. I never was angry about what happened really, just sad. But now I’m older, I see things differently.”
Streeter found out about Rod Stewart being her father when she was 18.
Rod Stewart has seven children and is expecting his eighth.
