Abbie Schiller

Founder & CEO of The Mother Company. Creator of Ruby's Studio video series and books for kids. Mama of two. Wife of one.

Abbie is the Founder and CEO of The Mother Company, a multi-media brand that promotes social and emotional learning through helpful, stylish products for young kids and resources for parents. She created the award-winning "Ruby's Studio" video series because she wanted a cool, more meaningful children’s show to inspire, empower and educate kids about their everyday issues. Abbie started the company when her daughter was in preschool and she yearned to find a hero in children's media who would help teach the important social and emotional lessons she struggled with at home. She created Ruby - a smart, grounded show host who is a mix between Mister Rogers and Mary Poppins - and today, the award-winning Ruby's Studio series of “The Feelings Show" “The Friendship Show” “The Siblings Show” and “The Safety Show” is being enjoyed by children around the world. The series has spun-off ten children’s books, distributed in nine countries, that Abbie co-authored with her partner Samantha Kurtzman-Counter. With the company’s mission of “Helping Parents Raise Good People,” Abbie and Sam have been speakers at social good conferences and have been featured on MSNBC, FOX News, Good Day LA, WABC, and others. Growing as quickly as The Mother Company, Abbie's daughter is now 11 — and she welcomed a baby boy into the family the same month "Ruby's Studio" launched, who is now 4. Abbie is married to a very patient and understanding husband.
