Dani Alpert

Traveler, Non-foodie, Sharerer. Math ain’t my jam.

Dani’s first professional photo was her mugshot taken after getting arrested for tagging an overpass in the town where she grew up—she’s been trying to reclaim those glory days ever since. She graduated from NYU Film School, and attended The American Film Institute. Dani is a WGA writer, comedian, and a performer of several theatrical solo shows. She wrote, directed and stars in the film parody, A Really Intimate Portrait... Of a Complete Unknown . After 16 years in Los Angeles, a divorce, and enough rejection letters to plaster the overpass from her childhood, Dani moved back to New York (after a stint in the Czech Republic—stand by for that adorable tale) and became a Pilates Instructor. Dani’s writing appears in The Huffington Post, Pilates Style Magazine, StepMom Magazine, Blogher and Sexpert. She placed second (in her mature age bracket), in the 2014 US National Pole Championships, and gives voice to those childfree by choice women who reluctantly invite children into their lives, only to fall in love with them—such is the life of a Girlfriend Mom.
