Jeannette is a Latina mom of 2 children that never cease to amaze her and provide her inspiration for her Babble blog posts. She loves helping others, traveling and trying out new makeup. As an award-winning bilingual journalist and TV personality you might have seen her on The Steve Harvey Show, The Chew , Good Morning America , Despierta América, Un Nuevo Día, Tu Día Alegre and other shows. Born in El Paso, Texas, and raised in Chile, Jeannette launched in 2012 her bilingual platform for Hispanic women, Hispana Global , where she shares tips about parenting, beauty, travel, food, technology, social good and more. In 2014 mom.me recognized her as one of the top 50 mom bloggers . For the past 17 years she has called Miami, Florida her home, where she lives with her family.
Jeannette is the author of Todobebé: Todo lo que necesitas saber para el primer año de tu bebé (Rayo, 2006. She formerly was the cofounder and Chief Content Officer for Todobebe for 13 years, and co-hosted Univision’s Viva la Familia and Telemundo’s Todobebe TV shows (both were Emmy-nominated).
Jeannette was invited to the White House as part of LATISM’s 2012 Top Blogueras Retreat, has won LATISM´s Best Parenting Blogger award and in 2002 was named as one of the most influential Hispanic journalists by the Hispanic Media 100. She was a finalist in the 2014 Iris Awards as Web Personality of the Year, in the 2013 SXSWi Revolucionario Awards and in 2015 was selected as a finalist by Hispanicize’s Tecla Awards in the best Spanish blogger category.
A UN Social Good Fellow, she has also been a speaker at major conferences including BlogHer, Blogalicious, We All Grow Summit, EVO, LATISM, Blissdom, Hispanicize, Social Media Week Miami, SheStreams and SheCon. In 2013, she was a guest speaker at the UN Foundation’s Mom+Social Global Summit and also moderated the Global Voices keynote at Mom 2.0 Summit.
Jeannette is passionate about giving back and supports organizations such as ONE.org, Shot@Life, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Wizo, Bloggers4Haiti and No Kid Hungry, among others.
