I don’t know how many of you have Christmas ornament traditions, but I did when I was growing up. We always set our tree up the day after Thanksgiving – a fake one that, by the time I moved out hardly had any needles. The tradition part of the ornament was that me and my brothers would each take turns going into the ornament bins, pulling one out and then placing it on the tree. My mom would do the ones high up, and then we’d each do the ones we had made. Every year it was like Christmas day, because we had forgotten what our ornaments looked like. It was so fun!
I haven’t made an ornament in awhile, but this year I’m painting some, so I’m into DIY ornaments. Mine are wood, painted and stenciled, but I’d like to make some fabric ones as well. I love this felt tree cutout ornament, and there’s no sewing involved which is nice sometimes. I’ve got 14 more ideas to share. Take a peek – after the jump!
