  4. Once you’ve almost reached the end of the ribbon, hold one strand firmly with your fingers while pulling down on the other one. The ribbon should bunch together to form the shape of a rose. Fold the two strands into a knot to secure the shape. Cut off excess ribbon.

  5. With the green ribbon, cut a strip long enough to cover the top of the hair clip. Glue strip over surface of hair clip. To create the leaves, cut two additional strips that are each about 2 inches long. Take one of the strips and overlap a strand on top of the other, then glue to secure. Repeat for other leaf.

  3. Let dry, then cut the entire piece into a cup shape. Add a “v” cut at the top left to resemble the “chip.”
  4. To create the base, cut a 1-inch strip of the purple ribbon. Trim to resemble the shape of a trapezoid.
  5. With the pink ribbon, cut out two pieces that look like half of an oval. Cut one of these shapes with the blue ribbon. Glue all three pieces on top of the purple ribbon. Let dry, then glue this base at the bottom of the cup shape previously created.
  6. Cut another yellow ribbon strip that is about 1 1/2-inches long, then cut the strip in half, lengthwise. Take one of these pieces and glue to the bottom of Chip’s base. Take the other yellow ribbon piece, then fold and glue to the right side to form Chip’s handle.
  7. With the white ribbon, cut a strip long enough to cover the top of the hair clip. Glue strip over surface of clip. Let dry, then glue finished Chip piece on top.

Supplies

Directions

  1. Cut strip of yellow and white ribbon that are both about 1/2 inch in length. Connect the two pieces together by gluing the yellow piece slightly over the white one. Let dry, then trim to resemble one of Lumiere’s side candlesticks. Repeat process to create the other side candlestick.
  2. To create the arms, cut a yellow strip that is about 1 1/2 inches in length, then cut that strip in half, lengthwise. Fold both pieces over at the halfway point and glue to secure (these should be folded in opposite directions). Now take one of these pieces and glue to bottom of one of the candlesticks made earlier. Do the same with the other arm and candlestick.

  3. For the center candlestick, cut a strip of white ribbon that is about 1 3/4 inches in length, and yellow ribbon that is about 3/8 inch in length. Connect the two pieces together by gluing the yellow piece slightly over the white one. Let dry, then trim to resemble Lumiere’s center candlestick.
  4. To create the base, cut a strip of yellow ribbon that is about 1/2 inch in length. Trim to make the piece look like half an oval. Cut another strip of yellow ribbon that is about 1/2 inch in length, then cut that strip in half, lengthwise. Take one of these halves and slightly glue it underneath the half oval piece.
  5. Once the base is dry, glue it to the center candlestick. Then glue the other two candlesticks to the sides.
  6. Cut three small pieces of the yellow ribbon and fold to resemble the shape of candle flames. Then glue to secure. Once dry, glue each flame onto the candlesticks.
  7. With the white ribbon, cut a strip long enough to cover the top of the hair clip. Glue strip over surface of clip. Let dry, then glue completed Lumiere piece on top.
