Is your little one a bookworm looking for “adventure in the great wide somewhere?” While we’re not quite ready to let them roam the world on their own, we’d be more than happy to throw them a magical Beauty and the Beast-themed party — one that would make Mrs. Potts proud.
From strawberry roses and enchanted invitations to DIY bookmarks and “The Grey Stuff,” when it comes to Beauty and the Beast party planning, we’ve got you covered!
1. Enchanted Invites
Any legit Beauty and the Beast party would, of course, include a viewing of the movie! Start the festivities at the theater, to see the new live action film (after March 17th), or play the classic animated version during the party. All guests would certainly jump at the chance to receive one of these sweet electronic invites. (via Punchbowl)
2. Strawberry Roses
Want to really blow your guests away? Create these gorgeous, DIY strawberry roses. The kids can eat them on their own or with whipped cream, while the adults drop them into champagne (because what’s a party without a little bubbly?). (via Babble)
3. Beauty and the Beast Donuts
Sometimes you just have to let your sweet tooth run wild! These decadent, beautifully decorated Beauty and the Beast donuts feature all of our favorite characters from the film — Lumiere, Mrs. Potts, and of course Belle. Have you ever seen a prettier donut?! (via Babble)
4. Stained Glass Cookies
Speaking of gorgeous foods, these cookies would almost make being an enchanted household item worthwhile. There is nothing more iconic than the stained glass windows in Beauty and the Beast — your party simply wouldn’t be complete without them! (via A Grey Eyed Girl)
5. Caramel Apple Rose Tarts
This recipe looks magical (and hard to make) but is actually super simple to execute! Belle would never turn down a meal featuring these apple rose tarts — and neither will your guests. (via Babble)
6. LeFou’s Brew
It’s only fitting that Gaston’s sidekick, LeFou, has his own signature drink. If you haven’t been over to Gaston’s Tavern in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, fear not! You can simply concoct your own version of this recipe using frozen apple juice concentrate, water, and toasted marshmallow syrup. (via All For The Boys)
7. The Grey Stuff
If Lumiere can take the time to shout out, “Try the grey stuff — it’s delicious!” mid-song, you know it’s got to be good. You don’t need to be a prisoner in an enchanted castle to experience the magic that is “the grey stuff.” Spoiler: it tastes like a cookies n’ cream whipped topping! (via Disney Family)
8. DIY Lumiere
Whether you want to give your younger guests a hands-on activity or create fun table decor, this DIY Lumiere is adorable. And it’s made of items you already have in your home, like an egg carton and toilet paper rolls! (via Disney Family)
9. DIY Enchanted Mirror
The enchanted mirror has the power to show you “anything you wish to see.” Your guests will love crafting (and taking home) their own magical mirror. (via Raising Whasians)
10. Enchanted Rose Bookmarks
One of our favorite things about Belle is her love for books — and what pairs better with a book than a beautiful bookmark? Encourage your kids to read like their favorite princess by crafting these simple rose bookmarks. (via Disney Family)
11. DIY Chip Cup
Is there anyone cuter than Mrs. Pott’s son, Chip? We think not, which is why we’re all about crafting our very own Chip. This DIY is made of plain white mugs, paint markers, and a little imagination. (via The Sits Girls)
Catch Disney’s Beauty and the Beast in theaters March 17th.
