Floating Ornaments

Supplies

  • Assorted ornaments
  • Fishing line
  • Scissors

Directions

  1. String thread through the top of an ornament. Tie to secure and cut off excess at desired length.

  2. Repeat for the other ornaments, while varying the thread length for each one.
  3. Hang each ornament from a curtain rod, at different lengths.

Ornament Garland

Create a garland filled with holiday cheer.

Supplies

  • Thick and thin twine
  • Scissors
  • Assorted ornaments
  • Thumbtacks (optional)

Directions

  1. Cut thick twine into desired garland length.
  2. Cut a piece of the thin twine and loop it through the top of an ornament. Tie the ornament onto the thick twine to secure. Then cut off excess thin twine.

  3. Repeat step 2 until garland is full. (Tip: Mix up the colors and sizes to keep the garland feeling balanced.)
  4. If desired, hang completed garland by hammering thumbtacks onto your mantel.

Something as simple as DIY gift wrap can really show your friends and family how much they mean to you.

Supplies

  • Craft paper
  • Scissors
  • Tape
  • Red and gold ribbon
  • Striped red and white twine
  • Small, assorted ornaments
  • Sprigs of rosemary
  • Gift tag

Directions

  1. Wrap gift in craft paper. Tie red ribbon over gift.

  3. Cut a piece of twine and loop it through a few small ornaments. Then tie it onto the middle of the ribbons and twine.
  4. Tie the red ribbon into a bow, and trim off excess twine.
  5. Slip rosemary sprigs and a gift tag under the ribbons.

Supplies

  • Glass hurricane vase
  • Evergreen clippings
  • Battery operated fairy lights (like these from Amazon)
  • Assorted ornaments
  • Berries

Directions

  1. At the bottom of the vase, add in a few evergreen clippings.
  2. Then add the fairy lights. (Hide the battery pack at the bottom of the vase.)
  3. Add in ornaments, using a variety of sizes throughout. (Turn the ornament loops inward, so they’re not visible outside the vase.)
  4. Periodically add in more evergreen.
  5. Finish off vase with berries on the side.
