Hit the Boards with Babble and Michelle Obama!Whit Honea
The First Lady, Mrs. Michelle Obama, has joined with Babble to share the stories of Americans JUST LIKE YOU (unless you aren’t an American, then JUST LIKE SOME AMERICAN YOU KNOW) and what it is that inspires you to vote.
That’s right, we want to hear why you vote, America!
Personally, I tend to vote for the issues, which is a vague way of saying that I lean toward those emphasizing social, environmental, and civil equality. That doesn’t mean that the economy isn’t important, but I believe both parties hope to fix it, and nobody really knows if either of them can/will, so why not vote my conscience rather than my wallet? I sleep well.
And of course, I vote for the children. They are the future and all that.
Now imagine all of that in Pinterest form, and you’ve got Internet inspiration, conversation, and something to do while the debate is on.
Make sure you explain each pin with a caption about why you vote, for example: “to make a difference,” “for the future,” or the classic “civic duty” — and include the hashtag #WhyIVote.
Post before Sunday, October 21, and Michelle Obama will personally select her favorite pins and repin them to her own board.
Selected participants will be notified via email on October 23rd.
