Chalk it Up on Instagram With #DisneySidewalk

Disney-Sidewalk-Chalk-Art-by-Noah_DisneySisters1Summertime is upon us. As parents, we finally have time to slow down, take a deep breath, and do all of the things that we had no time for during the busy school year. But spending quality time together doesn’t have to be big and involved, it can be simple: drawing on the sidewalk with chalk, for example. Can you remember the last time you sat down in your backyard (or front) or on a playground or on the sidewalk of a park with your kids and doodled with chalk? Well now we have even more reason to get started.

Disney Parks just launched a new Instagram program, Show Your Disney Sidewalk. How do you and your family get involved? Each week, followers will be given a special theme to create their own sidewalk art at home, inspired by their Disney Side. Simply take a photo of your chalk art, upload to your Instagram account and tag it with #DisneySidewalk, and your creation may be chosen to be featured on the Disneyland or Walt Disney World Instagram feeds!

Disney Parks featured artist Noah announced this program last week at the 24 Hour Rock Your Disney Side Event. We were honored to interview him about it. He even shared one of his Disney Sidewalk chalk art creations. (featured above) This incredible piece is going to be donated to Autism Speaks to be put up for auction. Noah also had some chalk art tips he wanted to share with you. We thought this was a great video with how-to tips to get your family started. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
