In it, he introduces the Star Wars: Force for Change campaign, an initiative that seeks to raise funds and awareness for the United Nations Children’s Fund’s (UNICEF) Innovation Labs and its innovative programs benefiting the world’s most vulnerable children.
Then, he invites fans everywhere to actually BE in Star Wars: Episode VII by donating just $10 to the cause at Omaze.com/StarWars. Disney has already committed $1 million, so it’s totally on.
The winner (and a guest) will not only win a trip to London’s Pinewood Studios where many scenes are being filmed, but as VIP guests, will have the chance to meet the cast, see Abrams in directorial action, and sit through hair and makeup before walking onto the actual set to film a scene.
As if that wasn’t cool enough, we get a good long look at a creature never before seen in the Star Wars universe.
Again, this is very unlike Abrams. Let’s blame the heat in the best way possible.
