Gone are the days of having only pink, glittery dresses in the Girls’ section, and blue and green shirts that say “Tough Guy” on them in the Boys’. As gender stereotypes are (finally) starting to crumble, so has a new market for gender-neutral clothing — and one of the latest brands to hop on the bandwagon is the uber cool abercrombie kids.
The popular kids wear brand actually launched its own gender-neutral clothing line — dubbed the Everybody Collection — back in January. But now, they’ve teamed up with E!’s Giuliana Rancic and her 6-year-old son Duke, for a brand new collection due to launch in April of 2019.
Rancic herself says she’s thrilled to be a part of the project.
“I am beyond excited to be collaborating with a brand that empowers Duke to dress in any color, size or style that he chooses,” she said in a statement. “I love the company’s ethos and its clothes are fun and well made for kids that love to play, both important considerations for me as a mom, when shopping for Duke.”
According to abercrombie kids, Giuliana and Duke visited the Abercrombie & Fitch home office this past September, where Duke got a personalized tour of the Innovation and Design Center. Once there, he helped pick thread colors and learned about printing and graphics for the upcoming collection.
While further details of the collection still remain under wraps, abercrombie says that the pieces Giuliana and Duke have helped design will be included in the Summer Everybody Collection, which “embraces on-trend clothing from a single size system for both boys and girls who don’t want to be restricted to certain styles or colors.”
Judging from this sneak peek so far, we can’t wait to see more!
