10 Celebrity Couples Who Were Engaged, but Never Made It Down the Aisle…Suzanne Jannese
British actress Elizabeth Hurley and cricketer Shane Warne have reportedly decided to call time on their relationship. The news comes after months of speculation about the pair’s engagement.
Shane posted a philosophical tweet on his Twitter page: ‘The past should be the past & stay there. It destroys the future. Live life for what tomorrow has to offer, not for what happened yesterday.” He went on to tweet, “You will never be able to start a new chapter of your life unless u stop looking back at the last one. Think about this & apply as u see fit.” Shane’s tweets appear to hint that issues from his past may have had an effect on his current relationship.
The couple temporarily broke up in September, but seemed to be back on track (albeit with Hurley not wearing her engagement ring) when they were last pictured together in early November.
During their split in September, Elizabeth had written on Twitter: “Apologies to loyal followers for Twitter silence on recent events. Too raw & personal to share right now.” Although presently the actress and model have yet to comment on the rumored break-up.
The couple recently bought the £6million, 13-bedroom Donnington Hall together and moved in over the summer.
Hurley and Warne are not the first celeb couple to get engaged and then not make it up the aisle … yet. Take a look at the slideshow below for all the stars who put a ring on it, but failed to say, “I do.”
