A “Friends” Reunion Is Finally Happening (for Real This Time)

As Janice once said (repeatedly), “Oh … my … GOD!”

NBC confirmed today that the entire cast of Friends — Courtney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer — will all be present for a special in honor of sitcom director James Burrows on Sunday, February 21.

Burrows is known for such iconic sitcoms as Will and Grace, Mike and Molly, Cheers, and yes, Friends (among many, many others). In a career that has spanned 42 years, Burrows has recently shot his 1,000th episode of television, according to Entertainment Weekly.

While we’re not sure what the special will entail precisely (details have been kept to a minimum), we are just glad to finally see Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe all on the same screen again. So even though it will be no spin-off ala Fuller House (can you imagine?!), we’ll certainly take what we can get!
