Harper Beckham Celebrates Turning 6 with a Princess-Themed Tea Party at Buckingham Palace

What’s better than being Victoria Beckham? Well, being Victoria Beckham’s daughter for starters. Today is Harper Beckham’s 6th birthday and she is celebrating in such style we’re honestly in a mild state of shock. The adorable “baby” of the famous Beckham family didn’t just have a princess-themed party, she had the princess-themed party to end all parties.

The Beckhams were invited to Queen Elizabeth’s London home, Buckingham Palace, for a tea party hosted by Princess Eugenie of York. While the event was not actually in honor of Harper, it certainly was a day to remember. Dressed as Elsa from Frozen, Harper joined her dad, David Beckham, and her grandmother for the event. She even brought along her girlfriends who were similarly dressed as princesses, of course.

When Victoria and David initially shared the photos of Harper celebrating her birthday at Buckingham Palace, fans on social media were quick to question why the taxpayer-funded palace (which isn’t even open to the public at this time of year) was hosting Harper’s party. But David quickly cleared things up with a post on Instagram that explained they were guests at a larger event that just happened to fall on Harper’s birthday:

“Just to be clear this wasn’t the palace opening the gates for Harper’s birthday party, this was a tea party where us and other guests were invited so it was a beautiful thing to do with my mum, Harper plus a few school friends. We were honored to be able to there … beautiful tea party.”

Yesterday, Victoria shared photos of Harper’s family birthday at home on Instagram Story. The family of six (including older brothers Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 14, and Cruz, 12) celebrated with a special breakfast, cake, and tons of gifts (including a doll house her doting older brothers assembled).

Today, each proud big brother shared sweet messages to their little sister on Instagram:

When we were little, our birthday parties were relatively simple affairs. Even our biggest bashes didn’t include much more than our closest friends, balloons, presents, and an ice cream cake from Carvel. They certainly didn’t feature a real-life princess in a real-life palace. But then again, we are not the children of David and Victoria Beckham. Sigh.
