Hoda Kotb Adopts Her First Child: “She Is the Love of My Life”

While Hoda Kotb is best known for being a host on the Today show, guzzling down wine and making jokes alongside her co-host Kathy Lee Gifford, she has a new claim to fame now — being a mom.

Kotb called into Today this morning to let her co-workers know she had some news — she has adopted a baby girl! The screen displayed a sweet photo of the new mom holding onto her adopted daughter as she gushed:

“That little girl, Haley Joy — I’m crying — is my daughter. I adopted her, and you can hear her, that’s her crying. She’s a Valentine’s baby. She’s a little nugget. She is the love of my life.”

At 52, this is Kotb’s first child. We can only imagine the joy she must be feeling right now. She shared the photo of her and baby Haley on her Twitter account with the caption “My girl.”

Kotb’s co-host, Kathy Lee Gifford, admitted to having a hard time keeping the exciting news under wraps. “Do you know how hard it has been to keep this secret? I’ve got the biggest mouth!” Gifford said. Gifford also took to Twitter to send well wishes to her dear friend.

We hope you enjoy this time with your baby girl, Hoda! We know you’ll be a great mama and that this baby must already be feeling so loved!
