On a very special weight-loss episode of 19 Kids and Counting, 25-year-old Josh Duggar, father of 2 with 1 on the way, found out that he is obese. Harsh.
Josh and his dad, Jim Bob, got physicals together. The doctor asked them both to come in with their wives to
make a more dramatic episode hear the news. Neither one of them is in great shape.
I love the Duggars. Even though I don’t personally want to have as many kids as they have, I think they do a pretty good job with their family and I like their positive attitude. They certainly practice what they preach.
Josh was a good sport about having his obesity aired on TV. He seems to feel like going public with it will help him lose weight. Anyway, Anna blames herself because it was her cooking that made him fat. (But you can’t go by Anna. She feels extreme guilt every time she uses a disposable diaper.) I think it’s nice that the whole family is working on health together.
Jim Bob is not obese, just overweight. But his bad cholesterol is through the roof. No more sweet tea for Jim Bob. Instead? Newly health-conscious Jim Bob feasts on a can of carrots for lunch. What? It’s better than Beef-a-Roni.
I’m rooting for the Duggar men. It’s hard to lose that post-baby weight. Good luck shedding the pounds, gentlemen!
