It’s hard to believe it’s been 20 years since Justin Timberlake first blessed our lives. From our greatest ‘90s crush (those frosted tips!) to his first solo album (who didn’t run out and by Justified immediately?), Justin’s had us seriously hooked. And then of course he went and shocked us all when he turned out to be a surprisingly good actor (ahem, The Social Network). But it looks like we won’t have to wait too long to introduce our offspring to the amazingness that is Mr. JT — in fact, we might be able to start in infancy.
The pop singer’s greatest hits will soon be available in soothing lullaby form, thanks to the upcoming release of Lullaby Renditions of Justin Timberlake, a baby-friendly compilation of all his greatest hits. (Yes, even NSYNC songs!)
Check out the track list:
- “Can’t Stop The Feeling!”
- “Rock Your Body”
- “Suit & Tie”
- “Bye Bye Bye”
- “What Goes Around … /… Comes Around”
- “My Love”
- “Sexy Back” (oh you KNOW you can’t wait to hear this one)
- “Drink You Away”
- “Not a Bad Thing”
- “Cry Me a River” (seriously fitting for the toddler-and-under set)
The album is being released by Rockabye Baby, a music company that licenses popular songs and turns them into gentle lullabies (seriously, they’ve put out covers of everyone from Beatles to Coldplay). And frankly, we can’t WAIT. After all, who imagined they’d one day be rocking their baby to sleep along to “Rock Your Body?” Although depending on how good of a sleeper your kid is, you may be willing to try anything at this point.
Of course, no one would know what that’s like better than Timberlake himself, who became a dad to his son Silas back in 2015, along with wife Jessica Biel. Apparently, the star is no exception to the extreme joys and struggles of fatherhood, as he once told People, “I’ve never slept less and dealt with more poop, and been so excited about it.”
Judging from that sound bite alone, it seems like a lullaby album is the perfect next step!
If you’re looking to get your hands on the album, it will be released August 18, but is now available for pre-order if you really can’t wait.
