Kristen Bell’s 4-Year-Old Forced Her to Wear a Matching Elsa Costume for Halloween

Editor’s Note: Babble is a part of the Walt Disney Company.

See moms? Apparently, even Kristen Bell gets ordered around by her own kid. And she isn’t afraid to admit it. The mom of two and star of the upcoming comedy A Bad Moms Christmas took to Instagram over the weekend to share a photo of her Halloween costume — which she was under strict orders to wear by her 4-year-old daughter, Delta.

The actress uploaded the photo along with the caption: “When your daughter demands you BOTH be ELSA for Halloween … you GRIN AND FORKING BEAR IT.”

Hell yeah, you do!

Bell, of course, was the voice of Princess Anna in Frozen — the sister (and sometimes adversary) to Queen Elsa, voiced by Idina Menzel. So this whole “going to Halloween as your character’s part-time enemy” thing is … well, kind of funny.

But as she explained to USA Today last week, her kids are basically unimpressed that their mom voiced one of the main roles in the super popular animated film.

“Despite how hard I tried, we’re not an Anna family,” Bell recently told the paper. “Sad but true.”

“She don’t care,” Bell added of her daughter, Delta. “Anytime the word Halloween comes up she wants to put on her Elsa dress and her gloves. The gloves are a very big deal.”

LOL. Nothing like getting your ego knocked down a peg or two by your 4-year-old, huh?

And just in case you’re wondering why Bell’s daughter is just now catching on to the Frozen craze … well, she’s questioned that, too.

“I even told her, ‘You are 4 years old,'” Bell relayed. “‘You are supposed to have your finger on the pulse, you’re two years too late to be doing this.'”

(Yeah, seriously, Delta — get with it, girl)

It wasn’t long after Bell shared the post on Instagram over the weekend that hundreds of parents commiserated with her in the comments … because having your kid order you around is basically par for the course.

“Good mamma,” wrote one user. “Been there done that, good luck. You could just get into character?”

“As the mom of three girls,” wrote another, “I hear ya. It’s Anna who is brave and moves mountains. Elsa just wears a pretty dress and has magical powers … still it’s Anna who’s the one to want to emulate. Ugh. My middle daughter is named Anna and wanted her name to be Elsa for a while. Double ugh.”

Oh well, to each his (or her) own. If you ask me, Elsa and Anna are both pretty cool in my book.
