That Time Prince George Embarrassed His Uncle Harry in Front of the President and First Lady

It was the playdate seen ’round the world when just last month the President and First Lady Obama were treated to a surprise visit from Prince George while visiting with The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry at Kensington Palace.

Clad in blue and white checkered pajamas and a white robe, with his blonde hair neatly brushed to the side, Prince George was perfectly coiffed for his brief pre-bedtime visit with America’s First Couple.

At the time, we all fawned over his adorable outfit and the never-before-seen inside look at the private rooms where The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge live with Prince George and Princess Charlotte. But what really went down during that time was even better than we could have imagined.

While speaking to Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts, First Lady Michelle Obama talked about meeting Prince George and seeing Prince Harry as an uncle firsthand.

“I have to say that the most precious thing — if you haven’t already fallen in love with him — is to see him with his nephew,” the First Lady told Roberts after the Invictus Games opening ceremony on Sunday night.

Apparently, Prince Harry is more of the fun-loving uncle than we previously thought because little George is so unused to seeing him calm and quiet, he called him out on it!

The First Lady explained that while they were all relaxing during the visit, Prince George said, “Uncle Harry, why are you so quiet?”

As the First Lady relayed this story, poor Prince Harry became visibly uncomfortable and mentioned how “embarrassing” the moment was and that he had been on his “best behavior” for the visit. He explained Prince George’s confusion by saying, “Usually I’m throwing him around the room and stuff.”

Hopefully after the Obama’s visit Prince Harry was back to his usual self — for Prince George’s sake!
