Princess Charlotte’s First Royal Portraits Released

A little over a month ago on May 2 at 8:34 am, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed their second child, the adorable Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana into the world. And this weekend we were finally graced with the first photos of Prince George holding his little sister!

The photos, according to People magazine, were taken in mid-May by their mom at Amner Hall, the family’s country estate. In them, 22-month-old George is seen gently holding his 5-week-old baby sister, who’s propped up on a white pillow. The princess has baby blue eyes (just like her dad!) and light brown hair (just like mom!) and is clad in an adorable white knit sweater.

From the slightly confused look on little Charlotte’s face, to the sweet kiss George plants on his sister’s head, the photos were almost too much for the Internet to handle this weekend when they were released on Twitter and Instagram by Kensington Palace.

After this, the next we can hope to see of the Duke and Duchess and their little ones will be at Charlotte’s christening, which will take place on July 5 at St. Mary Magdalene Church. In a lovely nod to his mother, that’s the same church the late Princess Diana was christened in 54 years earlier. So sweet.
