Victor Sine and Julianne Payne are our ultimate #relationshipgoals.
Dressing up for this year’s Comic Con in Salt Lake City, Utah, this awesome couple decided to portray everyone’s favorite twosome from Star Wars: The Force Awakens: Rey and Finn — and they KILLED it.
Sine and his fiancé went all out with their very realistic portrayal of the stormtrooper-turned-hero and our favorite Jedi-to-be. The best part? They dressed their 11-month-old daughter Addie up as BB-8! Or as they refer to her, Baby-8.
“She loved it! She was scooting around on the carpeted floor like BB-8 while we were at the convention,” Sine told Babble. “She was super excited and content to see all the interesting cosplays. Our child probably thinks now that blue, purple, and red people walk the earth!”
But Addie’s experience with Star Wars does not stop with her adorable costume. Sine says his daughter is already a fan, and they plan to show her all of the movies once they are done with Harry Potter.
Sine has been a fan of Star Wars for years — ever since he moved from England to the United States when he was 8. When he met Payne many years later, she had never seen any of the films but was eager to experience them for the first time. Needless to say, when she did, she was hooked. And like many die-hard fans, they binged-watched all six in the week leading up to the theater release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in December.
“She knew I was nerdy when she met me,” Sine reminisces. “We matched on Tinder, and my first Tinder photo was me cosplaying the Green Lantern.”
Over the years, Star Wars has played a pivotal role in their relationship, helping them to bond over their mutual love of the franchise. “It definitely was a major factor into us bonding and growing closer,” Sine told Babble.
So when the young couple realized they kind of looked like the new stars of the Star Wars series, Sine and Payne knew they had to cosplay as Finn and Rey. “When Rey and Finn came on the screen, my jaw was on the floor,” Payne told The Huffington Post. “It was love at first sight.”
And the rest, as they say, was history: Sine and Payne have just purchased their first house, are engaged to be married in two months, and Addie will be celebrating her first birthday soon, with a Star Wars-themed party, of course!
Oh, and after Comic Con was over, the couple decided to take things to the next level and had a professional photoshoot taken. And the results? Are as epic as the Star Wars film, itself. The photos are below:
