10 Tips on How to Freshen up Your Bathroom for Summer

Give your bathroom a makeover this summer without spending a fortune by making small changes here and there. Capture the sunshine by adding a new mirror or light fixture to your bathroom. Use accessories and nature to add pops of color into the space. If like me, you get the redecorating bug all too often, these tips make for great and affordable alternatives. One of my most recent projects is focusing on keeping things looking minimal. I’ve found that these tips have made a huge difference in creating an interesting space without all the clutter.

Add Color with a Shower Curtain 2 of 11
Simply changing the shower curtain can be an easy way to add color to your bathroom without having to do a total makeover.

If you feel that your bathroom is looking a little drab, grab a few new towels with pops of color to change it up. Even small hand towels can make a big difference.

Lots of differently labeled bottles can make your bathroom look more cluttered than it is. Consider putting soap, tissues, and toothbrushes in containers that match to streamline the space.

Hide Laundry Away in a Pretty Bin 5 of 11
Summer can mean a whole lot more dirty towels, bathing suits, and sandy clothes. Keep the laundry mess down to a minimum by picking up a laundry basket that goes with the decor. This will keep it from sticking out like a sore thumb, too.

You can bring in summer colors without having to overdo it by adding in pops of color with flowers. You can see here that yellow is incorporated into the room with the flowers, soap, and sponge.

Summer can bring in an influx of guests to the house, so be prepared by setting up a caddy that is filled with everything they would need. A small caddy that hangs on the door is great because it doesn't take up space, especially if you have a small bathroom.
