I, along with the rest of the world, am a huge fan of Pinterest. I love collecting my favorite finds and inspirational pictures for all aspects of my life, from recipes to decorating ideas for my home. I especially love all of the amazing kid’s room pins on Pinterest! They make me want to redo my kid’s rooms! The aesthetics are so bright and colorful, which is perfect for kids. All of these pins look like they were professionally put together and may be out of reach for a non-decorator like myself. But there is hope! All of these spaces are totally doable in your own home, you just have to know which parts to focus on to get a similar look.
1. Pops of Color
This room is so simple but so clean and fun. The black-and-white pallet with the natural wood and pops of gorgeous color is a perfect combination. What really stands out to me in this kid’s room is the art on the walls and the hardware on the dresser. The key to replicating a room similar to this one would be to find some fun and colorful art you can put in some plain white or black frames, and maybe even spray paint your current dresser’s hardware to pop. Then all you need are the black-and-white elements! You could get a similar chair here from Ikea. As for the dresser, you could literally just paint the one you have white then throw on the newly painted hardware. See? It’s a lot easier than you think!

This room makes my heart go pitter patter! I love all of the bright and beautiful colors. To pull off a similar room, you just need some wallpaper you love, a great dresser (like this one), and a whole lot of paint. The big impact of this space is in all of the details. From the pretty rug to the simple chair and of course, the brightly painted dresser! I love that dresser. You don’t have to stick with pastels either. You could easily adjust the pallet to match whatever color scheme you are going for in your kid’s room. I would love to put something like this together for my little girl.

3. Reading Nook
This is the most adorable reading nook. I love the black-and-white color scheme. To make your own nook like this one, you would just need some pillows, a cozy rug (like this one), and some great floating shelves to hold all of their books. And the decals on the wall are super easy! All you would need is some contact paper and a hole punch — or you could even hand cut the shapes. Then just peel off the paper backing and stick them on! No damage to your walls, and the impact is awesome. I love it!

Ah. chalkboard! Painting a whole room can seem overwhelming, but man does it have a cool and super fun effect. Everything else in the room can be pretty basic. Except that bed! If you can find a rad looking bed like that you can easily paint it whatever color you want to let it pop against the chalkboard walls. Everything looks cooler against a chalkboard wall! Your kids will think their room is a whole new place when really, you just spend a day painting the walls. Pretty great, right?

5. Something Special
Sometimes to make your kid’s room into something special you just have to add something fun and different — like this painted house outline! To make this, they just taped off the shape, painted, and removed the tape. It’s so easy and it really adds something special to the room! You could do so many different things to make the room unique like building a fun house frame to go over the bed, or connecting a slide to the bunk bed next to the ladder. These are just a few ideas that I am sure the kids will love in their rooms!
