7 Clever St. Patrick’s Day Crafts For KidsLiz Stanley
St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner, and we are getting excited around here! I just love celebrating this holiday with my kiddos. It’s so fun to have an excuse to make everything green or rainbow-colored. Sometimes it’s hard for me to refrain from going totally over the top (I admit I have been tempted a time or two to spray paint everything green, but my common sense got ahold of me.)
I am always on the lookout for some new St. Patrick’s Day crafts I can make with or for my kids on the big day. There are some really fun, easy, and super clever ideas out there for keeping your kids entertained and celebrating the holiday — many of which the kids can do all on their own! Here are 7 of my favorite St. Patrick’s Day crafts for kids:
1. Toilet Paper Stamping
I love using things from around the house to make something fun with the kids. These toilet paper roll stamps are perfect for creating some fun, easy shamrocks and rainbows for your St. Patrick’s Day!

2. Rainbow Placemats
How fun would a few of these watercolor rainbow place-mats be to use for your St. Patrick’s Day breakfast? They are really simple to make and honestly? I think I might use them year-round!
3. Shamrock Shirt
Make these shirts for the whole family to wear! I love a great freezer paper craft, and this one would look adorable on your little ones.
4. Pot of Gold
The kids would absolutely love waking up on St. Patrick’s Day morning to their own little pot of gold, complete with rainbow and delivered by a special leprechaun.

5. Follow the Rainbow
If you want to get really into it, you can set up a rainbow yarn trail for your kids to follow to get to their pots of gold! I seriously love this idea. The kids will be over the moon — er, rainbow? — with excitement!

6. Shamrock Window Clings
These window clings would be a lot of fun to make with the kids. All you need is some clear contact paper, patterned tapes, and scissors! I love the rainbow shamrocks, but they are all so fun!

7. Eraser Stamp Art
This one is so easy and so cute, it’s ridiculous. Just print out the template, and let your kids create their own modern rainbows with a pencil eraser and some ink pads or paints. I am definitely doing this one with my little guy this year!
