A Sticky Situationmeryllevin
My toddler is obsessed with stickers. It is a phase that I expect should end sometime around her 13th birthday. But for now, she finds stickers both very exciting (they stick to stuff!) and very frustrating (they don’t come off—luckily “stuck” and “help” were two of her first words).
So it occurred to me that sticky notes could be fun, and sure enough she gets a huge kick out of sticking and unsticking them to everything under the sun. Which prompted a search for some sticky notes I wouldn’t mind being stuck to every surface in my house. Which reminded me of Japanese artist Junzo Terada’s awesome collection for Chronicle Books.
The sticky notes are about as adorable as any I could dream up (see pics of the actual notes after the jump). And if you don’t need any sticky notes at the moment, it’s definitely still worth checking out the rest of the line. His mix-and-match stationary set and punch-out animals are great for kids, and the book of postcards is fantastic. There are 30 postcards total, each of which could be framed and hung on the nursery wall (see a sample after the jump).
A sample postcard. Anyone know how to say “adorable” in Japanese?
