Baby's First Year: Shadow Boxkenziepoo
Time flies by so quickly, especially when you have a little baby! What better way to remember your baby’s first year then with a fun shadow box. You can easily frame baby clothes and preserve them as a keepsake in a shadow box to hang on your wall. Treat your shadow box frame as a scrapbook page and create a scene rather than simply hanging the clothes.
Keep reading after the jump for how to’s on creating a one of a kind shadow box!
Instructions for Shadow Box:
1. Lay out what you want to go in the shadow box before you hang it up.
2. Using straight pins, push the pins through the clothing into the back of the shadow box. If your shadow box has a wooden back, and the pins won’t go through it then you will need to make a backing. Use cardboard to fit and wrap it in padding and then cover it in felt.
3. Add as many pins as you need to mount it to the backing. The pins will not be seen when you are done. Prop up the shadow box to see how everything is holding and add pins as needed.
4. Add other items to help complete the project, like a baby rattle, pictures or baby shoes to complete your project and you are all done.
