I am always looking for the perfect cloth napkins to use for when we have guests over for dinner. The problem I have is I can either never find any I like, or if I do like them, they’re always too expensive. That’s why I decided to DIY my solution, with inspiration coming from these Nine Space napkins found on Wayfair.¬†Instead of paying $31 for those four napkins, I spent $12 on the white napkins and $2 on the dye. $14 over $31? Yes, please! Plus, I got to customize them to make them look exactly how I wanted. I went with a gray color to be more of an accent than a focal point on my table, and I have to tell you, this is a DIY I am loving the outcome of! It only cost $14! DIY Dip-Dyed Napkins


  • 4 fabric napkins
  • Fabric dye
  • Stainless steel bowl

  1. Following the directions on your fabric dye, make the dye! Make sure it is well stirred and the dye is completely dissolved.

  2. Next, dip your napkins into the dye. I wanted mine to still be mostly white, so I just dipped the napkins in about 1/4 of the way. Let them sit and soak up the dye. Once they’re dyed, rinse them out with cold water to let the dye set.

  3. And you’re done! Use these modern napkins at your next dinner party!
