Etsy Picks: Handmade Pinhole Cameras from Upcycled Books

Digital photography is certainly convenient, but sometimes you just might miss the look of an old-fashioned film photograph.  Pinhole cameras are a great callback to the old days that some of us may not have experienced, but can definitely appreciate.  Create your own vintage style photos from these handmade pinhole cameras on Etsy!

Each pinhole camera is constructed from a vintage hardback book, with a magnetic shutter made from the book as well.  The covers are naturally distressed, and topped off with ebony, pearl, metal, or wooden knobs.  They take standard 35mm film that can easily be rewound into the canister for development.  Each one comes with a set of instructions, so the process is streamlined and explanatory!

Each camera takes a different style photo, so experimentation is the key to the process.  They have unique results, sure to turn your little one into a photography buff in no time.  They’re a great way to teach your kids about classic photography, and have fun in the meantime.
