Favorite Children's Author: Nikki McclureChelsea Fuss
If you are looking for classic children’s books that you can keep around for a while, look no further than children’s author and paper-cut artist, Nikki McClure. I love her books because the text is simple (perfect if your kids are just learning to read!). It’s also a great way to teach kids about art. Nikki creates all of her illustrations with paper and an X-acto knife.

One of my favorite books is called The Great Chicken Escape, about a flock of chickens who flee from their coop and their owners (nuns) who try to wrangle them up!
How To Cook The Perfect Day, is an adventure cook book. If you like to cook with kids, this book is ideal since the recipes are so simple.
Mama, is it Summer Yet?, is an answer to the author’s own son’s question and a charming look at the changing seasons.
All of these books can be purchased at Buy Olympia or at your favorite local bookshop!
