  • Can of Beer 2 of 6

When used as a rinse, a can of beer will bring out the natural shine in your hair. You can also mix a can of beer with two well-beaten eggs and use the mixture as a conditioner. The beer/egg combo should be allowed to sit on the hair for up to 15 minutes for extra dry hair.

If you have naturally dry hair that requires heavy conditioning, try using avocados instead. Avocados should be peeled and mashed. Add a few drops of olive oil for even more moisturizing power. Work the mixture throughout your hair and let sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Wash out the mixture thoroughly.

  • Warmed Olive Oil 4 of 6

Warm a half cup of olive oil (more or less depending on the length and thickness of your hair) in the microwave. Don't overheat to prevent burning your scalp. Apply the oil all over your hair but focus on the ends. Allow the oil to sit on your hair for up to 30 minutes and rinse thoroughly. A monthly olive oil treatment can help repair split ends and restore moisture to dry or over-stressed hair.

A lot of hair looks dull and lifeless because of the residues from commercial shampoos and styling products. To remove this buildup, add baking soda to your shampoo and wash as usual. Baking soda can eliminate what remains on the hair follicles and your scalp to restore the natural luster and body of your hair.
