I Heart Malia Mills Swimwear

It’s true. I fell in love with Malia Mills about six years ago (pre-babies) and have been faithfully going back nearly every year and there is always an updated take on what flatters my figure. Since then I have met Malia (she happens to live in my neighborhood and is a friend of a friend). And I have, on more than one occasion at our friend’s house after a few glasses of wine, told her how her swimsuits have changed my life. And she graciously thanks me as if she hasn’t heard it hundreds of times!

The MM philosophy is that if you don’t feel good in a swimsuit then it’s the swimsuit’s fault : ) She was one of the pioneers of selling separate tops and bottoms. She understands different body types and makes a suit to flatter each and every one. In fact, I usually find a few that I feel great in. If any of you are familiar with Malia Mills then you know what I mean. And if you’re not, then read on!

If you’re pregnant or post-partum and feeling newly (or not-so-newly) busty, here are a few styles that Malia and her team personally recommended:

This is the Juliette top for size D/DD. And I’m going to quote her here because I couldn’t have said it better: “It has extra depth and support built in, straps that can be worn camisole-style or criss-crossed in back and the top is super supportive but with that great feminine center ruching detail.”

This one is the Delilah, also great for D/DD tops. The front tie is removable… and of course, this can be paired with any number of bottoms. If you have a bump then wear a bottom like the ones in above photo or if you’re post-partum, I like these below…

I really like the Majoret and the Calendar Girl bottoms if you’re post-partum, like me, and feeling a little flabby in the mid-section (also shown in top photo at the beginning of this post in black). These will keep the extra flab contained!

Then there’s the Damsel Maillot: “Flattering ruching, removable halter strap, retro cut bottom that covers in all the right places.” This one is great for all stages of pregnancy: the beginning stage where you don’t really have a bump but have extra pudge, the bump stage, and the post-partum-want-to-disguise-the-extra stage.

The best part? They are offering $50 off to Babble readers on any Malia Mills brand item in store and on-line!! Just mention Babble.com in stores or for on-line orders, just call Jen at 800-685-3479.
