I am a little bit obsessed with finding (and subsequently hoarding) slouchy white v-neck tee shirts. I swear they are all I ever want to wear. Even on the off chance that I’m wearing a shirt that isn’t a slouchy v-neck tee? I’m actually usually wearing a slouchy v-neck tee under that shirt. It is a sickness. Maybe? I have a big old stack in a drawer that I cycle through, pulling a fresh one on at night after my shower, sleeping in it, and then rolling out of bed and wearing it all day. Usually with bed head ;). What can I say, I’m hoping this is very French of me?
Most of these tees cost me about five bucks (although some of them–my “special occasion” white tees–cost me a little bit more), and when I find me a good one I snatch it up quick and, if they’re affordable, I’ll usually buy at least five at a time. They’re like my uniform. I can throw on a loose cardigan, or a parka, or a sweater over the top (a cute, cropped sweater will sometimes cause the slouchy v-neck to look a little ruffle-y on the bottom and I tell you, I like that), then I pair them with black skinny jeans and ankle booties for a sophisticated/easy look, or with distressed skinny jeans and sneaker wedges for a cool-mom-rocking-the-playground look. Or sometimes I’ll pair them with leggings and uggs for a comfortable day-around-the-house look. I mean, it’s fool proof. I give the white tee system two thumbs up.
Here are some of my favorites. Stock up, ladies. You won’t regret it.
Splendid Jersey V-Neck Tee 1 of 11The lovely thing about Splendid is their perfect sleeve length. It's not too wide, or too long, or too short. It's juuuust right.

Forever 21 V-Neck Tee 2 of 11The gold standard. Friends, there's no need for any other slouchy tee! I buy these in a Large and wear them to death. They hold up only so-so, I'll be honest, so I'm replacing them once every three months or so. But at five bucks a pop, it's not going to break the bank too badly. Consider investing in one of the pricier, better-made models in this slideshow if you're interested in making more grown up wardrobe investments. 😉

KAIN Label V Neck Tee 4 of 11The dropped shoulder gives this one a real good vibe, don't you think?

Helmut Lang Scoop Neck Tee 5 of 11Scoop neck, very sexy. The dip in the front is meant for haphazard tucking.

Current/Elliott The V Neck Tee 6 of 11Sometimes you want to mix things up with gray, right? I love this heathered color.

Splendid Very Light Jersey Tee 7 of 11Sometimes you want a loose-fitting tee that's blousier at the bottom, and sometimes you want all the volume at the top. In case you're the former, this is the tee for you.

Rag & Bone The V Pocket Tee 8 of 11A little boxy. The pocket is a nice touch.

Wilt Slouch BF Tee 9 of 11One problem I typically run into with a cheaper slouchy tee is the accidental cleavage. This one has a nice, high neckline, while still pulling off the "oversized" look.

Three Dots Relaxed High Low Tee 10 of 11Kind of a glamorous, minimal design across the shoulders on this one.
Get this slouchy tee right HERE, $75.
Hanes White V-Neck 5 Pack 11 of 11Oh the good old mens Hanes five-pack. In a small or medium ought to do you just fine. I've been enjoying these a lot lately.
