One Giant Leap Into Bed

Here’s a fun bed kit if I ever saw one (perfect for those budding astronauts, yes)? Not only does this Dutch-based company make adorable bedding, their story is equally endearing.  It started with a silly idea about a cardboard box duvet cover; Le-Clochard. And when one of the co-founders lost their job and decided to make it, they worked out a plan to donate a large part of the proceeds to The Dutch Foundation for Homeless Youngsters (because a duvet cover like Le-Clochard only sleeps well if it actually helps a homeless person). The owners, Erik and Peggy decided to take the plunge when the Homeless Foundation responded with enthusiasm to their plans.  Now new ideas keep coming in, like this fun astronaut set, and they keep receiving emails from people all over the world wanting more unusual bedding like this. Fun fact: SNURK means “to snore” in Dutch.

The astronaut kids duvet by Snurk is brand new and will be available at the end of February.
