Skinny Sweatpants Are the New Skinny Jeans! Win from Mudslinger

Whenever I come across a new designer that I love, it just makes my entire day. But when that said designer Carolyn makes amazing clothing for boys (Mudslinger) out of her studio in Brooklyn, well that makes my entire year! I don’t have to tell you that I’m crazy about dressing up my son and how grateful I am that he wasn’t born 10 years ago when all I could get for him would be tees with footballs and trucks on them. Thankfully, we live in the hear and now and Mudslinger clothing is definitely hip and now.

Created by a mom who also felt limited by the styling options for boys, this collection is truly inspired. While it is small, all the pieces are perfectly conceived and executed, so you really do want everyone of her carefully curated pieces. My favorite has to be the striped long sleeve tee with elbow patches and the most adorable red cuff buttons. You see, it’s these kind of details that set Mudslinger way above even the best boy designers today. And the skinny sweatpants with zippers? Don’t even get me started. I was swooning even before the package was fully opened.

And the style doesn’t stop there. The sweatshirts are perfect, the mechanic coveralls inspired, the loose cord pants have the perfect fit, and the colors and materials are elevated for every day wear, using 100 percent organic cotton.

The best part of all is that the Mudslinger collection has a slightly unisex feel, so if I ever have a girl, you know what she’ll be wearing.

CONGRATS TO THE WINNER: Tara B. who loved the slim denim trouser.
