You Don't Need a New Wardrobe, You Just Need Good Jeans!

Levi's jeans opened up my entire wardrobe!

Once upon a time I was a shopper. I bought expensive makeup, I had designer handbags, and I always, always had good clothes.

When babies came into the mix I had to reprioritize. Disposable diapers, formula, and infant daycare were hella expensive (Psst! Not looking to start a maternal debate here). With like no discretionary income I had to learn to make do with the clothes I owned, finding clever, less expensive style alternatives. Long gone were the days of frivolous retail therapy.

My evolution from style with money to style without money was a bumpy one. After a postpartum year of alternating between maternity clothes that were just too big and pre-pregnancy clothes that were just too small, I gave up on style for a while.

Feeling ugly, tired, and ratty, I took a modest amount of money to invest in a few much needed wardrobe staples.

My first order of business was to find jeans¬†1 – 2 sizes larger than I’d been wearing pre-pregnancy. I was looking for jeans that held their structure, and kept my postpartum jiggle to a minimum (priorities, people). I found two new pairs of Levi’s jeans in a nice, dark wash along with a few other classic wardrobe staples.

No longer was I concerned with the hottest trends and styles of the moment, my modest budget cried out for fit and function in timeless, casual styles.

In the end, it all came down to those two pairs of jeans. Once I had them, my wardrobe seemed to multiply. Suddenly all of the clothes I thought I couldn’t wear looked great paired with my new jeans! And to think I’d unknowingly narrowed my wardrobe by wearing ill fitting pre-pregnancy jeans. Of course I felt like nothing looked good on me!

Good jeans make all the difference, my friends. While a great pair of fitted jeans can stand alone, I happen to believe a really great pair of jeans look so good on your body that they go unnoticed; highlighting the whole of your ensemble. Take it from me; great jeans have the power to change lives.

If you’re looking to stretch your budget and broaden the possibilities within your existing wardrobe, look no further than new denim. Levi’s offers great style, great fit, and great comfort at a more than great price.

I recently bought two new pairs of Levi’s jeans, Demi Curve and Mid Rise Skinny that hug me in all the right places; click the links to see how they look on me.

So what are you waiting for? Invest in yourself and your wardrobe with a pair or four of great fitting Levi’s jeans!

Now tell me, could your confidence and wardrobe use some new denim?
