5 Family Friendly Summer Staycations

I never thought my family would be one to consider a staycation. We like to travel and go on vacation every year to California because it’s a chance to visit family. Though we love and miss our family, reality is our trips can be very pricey. While there are only four of us and we do have family to stay with,  flights and expenses definitely add up.

Recently, one of my good friends shared her amazing family staycation with me and I loved everything she shared. It really made me consider a family friendly summer staycation myself. Now that our son is starting school, our vacations maybe cut short and a staycation may be a better option.

My friend continued to share the deals and details to her family’s staycation. She researched and planned her trip and it turned out to be very memorable. Her family traveled 2 hours away to a beautiful city to enjoy everything from museums, an awesome hotel stay, and special eateries.  They traveled with 2 kids and found it to be exactly what they needed.  They came back relaxed, happy and with so many memories not to mention a very affordable staycation.

As a kid our staycations consisted of traveling a few hours to cross the border into Mexico.  I was lucky enough to have parents that raised me with a strong sense of culture. I loved visiting Mexico on the weekends. The air, food, and language added so much life to our staycations. I am definitely considering a family friendly summer staycation
