5 Fun, Festive & Fancy Holiday Dresses for Your Girly-Girls

In our home we are big on the holiday dress (or dresses in our case). With a season full of social engagements and family festivities, there are many opportunities to dress up our daughter in darling dresses:

Some of the fancy dress instances that pop up for us each year include:

1) Our daughter’s all important photo with Santa.
2) The Nutcracker – a family tradition.
3) Our annual children’s Christmas tea party
4) One or two Christmas parties hosted by friends.
5) Christmas Eve family party (with my husband’s family)
6) Christmas Day dinner (with my family)

That’s at least six instances that are deserving of fancy dress. Now, there are some opportunities to repeat the same holiday dress. She could wear the same dress to meet Santa, to one of the parties and on Christmas day for instance. Or she could could wear the same dress to The Nutcracker, Christmas eve and to our Christmas tea party. And our girl? She LOVES to dress up, it’s like her favorite thing ever, so in her mind, the more opportunities to don a darling frock, the better. So each year we carefully select a couple of party dresses for her to wear during the season. Pieces that are stylish, affordable and photo worthy. A great place to stock up? Target! They have an eclectic collection of little girl dresses that are fun, festive and affordable, plus their Neiman Marcus capsule collection comes into stock right in time for holiday shoppers.
