Club 33: An Insider List of Things to Do Should You Ever Have the Chance to VisitHeather Sievers
If you have a Disney Bucket List, my guess is that a visit to Disneyland’s Club 33 might just be at the very top of it. Located in New Orleans Square just to the right of the Blue Bayou restaurant, Club 33 is a members only restaurant that Walt Disney originally intended to use to entertain important guests. Unfortunately Walt passed away before the restaurant opened, leaving it nameless. There are a handful of myths and legends about how Club 33 got its name, but according to Disney, it’s simply the address of the establishment; 33 Royal Street. I was lucky enough to be invited by some friends several years ago and since then I’ve been back many times. Even after going more times than I can count, I always seem to find little details that I didn’t notice on the last visit. Club 33 is amazing beyond words. If you ever have the chance to visit, I’ve got a great list of fun tips to keep in mind.

Club 33: Is it on your Disney Bucket List? 1 of 13
Meet Your Party at the Door 2 of 13
Make sure your party is exactly on time for your reservation. Meet in front of the "33" sign posted to right of the entrance on Royal Street and take a group photo!
Ring the Doorbell 3 of 13
Decide who the lucky person in your party is to ring the doorbell. A friendly cast member will answer and then welcome you in.
Take the Lift 4 of 13
Why walk up the stairs to the dining room when you can take the lift? Make sure to hitch a ride in the French style lift that Walt replicated after admiring one on a trip to Europe.
Sunday Brunch 5 of 13
If possible, visit Club 33 for Sunday Brunch. Why? Because these guys will visit your table AND you get mimosas!
Don’t Miss the Buffet 6 of 13
If you can't make it to a Sunday Brunch, I highly recommend an earlier dining time during the week for lunch. The menu is usually the same as dinner, but smaller potions because there are two buffets that are included with earlier dining. A seafood and salad buffet as well as this heavenly dessert buffet.
Eat Dessert First 7 of 13
If you do happen to be there for the dessert buffet, get on it! No need to wait until after you eat your entree. Here are some not to miss treats; Top Right: S'mores, Below That: Mickey Macaroons, Bottom Right: Fruit Tart, Bottom Center: Mini Blueberry Pies, Bottom Left Corner: Pineapple Upside Down Cake. ALL are scrumptious.
Visit the Ladies Room 8 of 13
Even if you're of the male species, I strongly suggest you try to take a peek inside the ladies restroom (after making sure it is empty of course!), or at least have a lady go in and take a photo for you. My guess is that this is definitely the most popular potty in the parks.
Purchase Something from the Merchandise Case 9 of 13
Club 33 sells a small variety of exclusive items in their merchandise case. Ranging from polo shirts to robes, key chains, pins and their own signature Mickey Ears, you'll be sure to find something fun to take home. I always recommend the Mickey Ears, but unfortunately they are often sold out. SO, if you do see them, make sure to snatch some up and grab a key chain while you're at it!
Celebrate a Special Occasion 10 of 13
Whether it's a birthday, anniversary, engagement, or something else that needs to be celebrated, make sure to celebrate the day of your visit. Simply tell your server what you are celebrating and they will bring out a special little treat for you.
Ask for a Tour 11 of 13
Whenever you're ready, usually at the end of your meal, be sure to ask your server for a tour of the club. They will gladly ask a host or hostess to show you and your party around. The Cast Member will share the history of the club, point out special artifacts and decor, and answer any questions you may have along the way.
Take a Trip Out to the Balcony 12 of 13
Make sure to walk out to the balcony located in the main dining room. The view is gorgeous as you stand above the crowds of New Orleans Square. There are little benches and some chairs spread throughout the area to sit for a spell and take it all in. OR you can pose for some fun photos to capture your special day.
Pay with a Credit Card 13 of 13
Want an extra little souvenir? Pay with a credit card and there will be a fabulous Club 33 pen in the folio that you can stash away after you sign the bill.
