Mailbox App – Is This The Solution To Get Your Inbox to Zero?Molly Thornberg
Let’s talk about a wee little problem that I have, and maybe you have this issue to.
I have five email accounts that I regularly monitor, with countless email addresses associated to each. Checking each if I sit down at the computer is one thing, but when you put all of your various email accounts on the iPhone? TROUBLE.
See, it’s not that I don’t read your email – because I DO! I read it and then either try to respond or want to respond later but typically if your email requires a reply longer than a sentence or two, I wait. Then there is the issue of sheer volume. Even when I sort emails by each specific email box – it feels like a never ending list of to-do’s. Getting my inbox to zero feels like a joke. There is an app for this and an app for that, but could this app be the solution to my inbox woahs??
Introducing Mailbox App
Fancy name, eh? Check out this video featuring Mailbox App in action:
Here are a few of the features Mailbox app lists that keeps me hoping for inbox zero:
Fly through your email.
We redesigned the inbox to make email light, fast, and mobile-friendly. Quickly swipe messages to your archive or trash. Scan an entire conversation at once with chat-like organization. Snooze emails until later with the tap of a button.
It’s a whole new inbox.
Modern tech for an ancient medium.
Designed 30 years ago, traditional email transmission is clunky and slow. To make delivery as fast as possible, Mailbox checks your email from the cloud, then delivers it to your phone securely. You can even get push notifications for new messages.
Inbox zero. Daily.
When your inbox holds just the stuff you need to address now, email feels lighter and faster. Mailbox makes getting to zero — and staying there — a breeze. After you experience a clean inbox, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.
Put it off until tomorrow.
Or this weekend.
Stop staring at emails you can’t deal with now. Mailbox lets you put off messages until later with a swipe and a tap. Snoozed emails return to your inbox automatically, so you can focus on what’s important now.
Sounds great right? And did I mention this app is FREE? Slick design, organizing my emails in a free app… There MUST be a kicker? With all positives there are negatives. I download the app and find there is a waiting list. The popularity of the Mailbox App is mondo. Check out this wait:
So I guess I have some waiting to do to see if this app is my answer for inbox zero. I can only hope. Once I have access, I’ll let you know how my inbox is looking.
