Gone are the days where kids would simply attach a string to their loose tooth and slam a door knob to get rid of their pearly white nuisance. As a child, my sister and I often played dentist, in which I would pull her tooth out for her (she was too afraid to do it on her own), but even I was a bit squeamish after watching this video.
Five-year-old Addison Gibbs was irritated by her bleeding tooth and wanted it gone — so she took matters into her own tiny, yet surprisingly aggressive, hands.
The fearless little girl tied her loose tooth to a string, then attached that to a bow and arrow. It seems someone has been taking notes from the Hunger Games‘ bow-wielding Katniss Everdeen. Gibbs pulled back tightly on the pink bow and sent her own tooth flying into the air. After taking a moment to examine her work, she says, “It’s gone!”
In an interview with Metro her father, Alex, noted, “It was completely painless — she was very timid beforehand, which you can tell by her lack of confidence in pulling the bow back all the way. I was very proud of her courage and how brave she was to do it.” I must say, I am quite impressed myself.
