Grab the popcorn, because we’ve got a video so good you’re going to want to curl up and watch it on repeat.
“Baby” is a 2.5-minute pregnancy announcement, filmed as a trailer for a horror movie. A couple starts to feel that something is just not quite right, so they turn to the help of their doctor — and eventually a “ghost specialist” — for clues as to what is “haunting” them.
Turns out, it’s just a case of the babes, arriving summer 2016.
We couldn’t get enough of the funny video, so we talked to the happy couple behind it: Matt and Alyssa MacMillan of New Jersey, who have been together for 8 years. This is their first child together, and naturally, they are both very excited.
They explained to Babble over email that they knew they wanted to do something “fun” to announce their pregnancy. “Matt thought of doing a video since it’s his hobby and it was something different,” Alyssa said.
The entire project took two weeks to complete with the help of their friends, including one Mr. Brian Affleck, who played the “ghost specialist.” (No relation to Oscar-winning actor Ben Affleck — we already asked.)
The happy couple showed their family the video over Christmas, much to everyone’s delight, and then made it public on Facebook after the New Year. Naturally, it has been a big hit. “People think it’s fun and creative and something new in terms of baby announcements,” Matt told us.
Oh, and if Matt looks familiar, you have a good eye because he and his brothers went viral last January when they recreated these hilarious childhood photos as a gift for their mom.
Clearly humor runs in this family.More On
