Desperate times call for desperate measures.
Brad Howard, a 17-year-old high school student in Texas, “likes to be the life of the party,” as his father recently told BuzzFeed. But his talking in physics class got so out of control that his teacher called home about it more than once.
So Dad came up with a plan. He told Brad if he got one more call, that he’d literally show up to his school and sit right next to him in class.
You’d think that would be enough — but it wasn’t. So this happened.
Brad came into the classroom, and only after greeting all of his friends did he notice his dad sitting by his desk. He was “super shocked,” he tells BuzzFeed.
Brad’s dad (also named Brad) wasn’t terribly thrilled that he had to make good on his threat, but everyone else found it delightfully entertaining.
His sister tweeted out the photo and a group text from their mom, which received over 4K likes and 1.8K retweets.
The mortifying incident inspired lots of people to recall their similar stories on Twitter. So apparently this is a thing?
Said one, “I did the same to my daughter [about] 18yrs ago, put her uniform on and was sitting in her desk. She entered acting like a clown! Priceless!”
Still, despite all the attention, Brad (the dad) told BuzzFeed he has no plans to make a habit out of these visits, saying, “I pray it was a one-time thing.”
