That Time My Husband Took Dress-Up to the Next Level

I’ve spent the last several years building an extensive costume collection for my kids because I firmly believe that dress-up has a positive impact on a child’s imagination. You name it, we have it: firefighter hats, lab coats, hula gear, licensed character costumes, and capes are just a few of the things you’ll find in our dress-up chest. My five-year-old daughter, Annie, adores pretending to be the characters she meets on screen and in real life, and she often involves the rest of the family in her role-playing games. Normally this is limited to wearing costumes and acting out the jobs of the characters, but my husband, Mike, decided to take it to the next level.

One Saturday I was out running errands when I received a pretty hilarious series of texts from him. They were playing Disney Infinity, a game where the players can play as characters from Disney and Marvel movies. Naturally, they started as characters from Frozen, but boy did it not end there …
