When I found out that I was going to have a son after two girls, I admit that I was a bit terrified. The world of tea parties and dresses and endless hours spent reading books was familiar to me, but boys? What would we do together? Would it be rough housing and fart jokes and stinky little boy feet? Would I fit in in the world of boys?
Turns out, I would do just fine. And while having a boy does mean rough housing and fart jokes (surprisingly hilarious, after all) and stinky little boy feet, it also means a sweetness that can’t exactly be described, flowers shyly picked, and a hand always willing to help. Being a #boymom is a special gift that always comes with lots of hugs, a few unidentifiable objects, and never a dull moment.
