Don't Chain Your Dog: Cute Puppies Hate ChainsCecily Kellogg
Do you chain your dog up in the yard? I hope not, for many reasons, but most of all, for this one: chained dogs are three times more likely to attack and bite than dogs that are unchained.
THREE TIMES MORE LIKELY TO BITE.
Why? According to the Human Society of the United States:
Tied-up outside, dogs become lonely, bored, and anxious, and they can develop aggressive behaviors.
Many communities are actually making it illegal to leave a dog chained or tethered outside. Be sure to know your local laws, and help a dog if you see one chained up.
The Humane Society has made this cute video to help convince people to take their dogs off the chain.
