10 Fun Halloween Costumes for Pregnant Moms

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays because it allows us to play with our creative side. Every girl loves dressing up and I am no different. This is the second Halloween that I’ve been pregnant and I am embarrassed to say that I wasn’t creative at all the first Halloween I was pregnant.

This year, my oldest daughter Harlan is very adamant about the entire family dressing up for Halloween. She’s been discussing costumes since July. While she has her costume settled, we are still trying to decide on mine. Because this is most likely my last pregnancy, I really want to play up my baby bump.

Thankfully there are plenty of pregnant moms who have been very creative for Halloween and have come up with some great maternity costumes that play up the bump. The Huffington Post featured 23 Halloween costumes for moms-to-be  and I thought I would share some of my favorites from the list as well as some others that I thought were super creative!

  • Bee-utiful Family 2 of 11

I love that this family incorporated everyone into their costumes, including the bump! The baby belly makes for a great bee-hive and big sister makes a cute little bumble bee.

  • Disco Baby 3 of 11

I would have never thought that our baby bumps could look like a disco ball, but add something sparkly and it makes the perfect glowing ball. Such a great couples costume idea.

Getting their little one started early with this classic nursery rhyme. Her baby bump really does look like it's sitting on top of a wall. This is such a great creative costume.

Mama plays the cat and the baby bump plays the fish bowl. Such a fun and creative way to dress up that bump, while mom can still be comfortable while celebrating the holiday.

  • Basketball Baby 11 of 11

This is another one of my favorites, especially because I can relate. Everyone is always telling me that I look like I'm hiding a basketball under my shirt, so I could play it up and do this to my belly this Halloween.
