When we first found out that we were pregnant with our third child, our first thought was how are we going to manage in our small two bedroom apartment in New York City. While it’s worked for our family of four, I knew it was going to be tough as a family of five.
Although space will be tight, we are determined to make it work for the first few months after the baby is born. With the lack of space, we have to be mindful when getting baby gear. The girl’s room is getting a makeover soon so that they will have big girl beds leaving a little bit more space for a crib. The crib that my youngest daughter, Avery, is currently sleeping in is far to big to fit in the room with the bunk beds we are getting for the girls.
For a crib to fit in their room, it needs to be smaller than a standard-size crib. I’d also love one that I am able to bring from room to room for those nights that the baby will sleep in my room.
After doing a little bit of research, I realized there are lots of cribs on the market for small spaces just like mine. They come in many different styles and price points that will fit all of your needs. If you are looking for a crib for your small space, take a look at some of my favorites!
BLOOM ALMA MINI
If you are looking for something to last your little one throughout the first year, this is a perfect option for you. This crib is not only stylish, but it’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen on the market. It folds up so you can easily put it away when it’s not in use. If you are really lacking for space, fold this up, and put it away when baby’s not in it, and you will never have to compromise space in your room. It’s made of solid wood, is built to easily fit through doors, and comes with a set of castors so you can move baby to each room with you.
